Pest Control Marketing: Get Customers to Remember You in a Good Way
Episode Overview

Everybody has a story.

So does every pest control company.

"And people want to hear it," says Crystal Williams, founder and creative strategist at Lemon Seed Marketing in east Texas.

Williams, business partner Emily Fleniken and the Lemon Seed Marketing team assist home services businesses, including pest control, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, in presenting those stories artfully and effectively to customers and prospects.

"A brand is how you make your community feel about doing business with you," says Williams, whose family members have ownership in heating and air conditioning and in pest control companies. "As soon as you can afford to get a full plan together, by a branding expert, go for it. Do it."

Williams recently shared her own story with Amanda Salvatore on a new episode of the Pest in Class podcast. Among the topics discussed:

  • [2:34]: Williams' journey into marketing

  • [13:48]: Tips for rebranding and how business owners can tell their stories

  • [20:59]: Logo vs. mascot: Which one should companies use and the benefits of each

  • [28:57]: How pest control businesses should leverage social media

  • [37:13]: Advice on how business owners can start creating content
